Liberty IT has announced the launch of a free community event aimed at giving businesses and organisations from across Galway an insight into its employee-led resource groups which have played a key role in the company being recognised as one of Ireland’s Best Workplaces.
The industry leader in digital innovation has seven Employee Resource Groups across the business – LGBTQIA+ Pride, Social Club, Sustainability, Health & wellbeing, Women in Tech, STEM, Ability & accessibility, Employee giving & volunteering, Mental Health Champions and Choir. Each group has the overarching aim of bringing employees together while strengthening the inclusive workplace and enhancing personal development.
Local businesses and organisations are invited to attend an event on Wednesday 7th February from 11am – 1pm at PorterShed 2, 15 Market Street in Galway where they can meet with representatives from across the Employee Resource Groups to find out how introducing similar groups could help their own companies.

Darren Muldoon, Site Lead for Liberty IT’s Galway office said: “Our Employee Resource Groups are an integral part of the culture at Liberty IT. They are an effective way of recognising, nurturing and championing the incredibly diverse talent at Liberty IT and collectively the groups support our work in creating a truly inclusive and equitable workplace.
We are proud of our employee-led groups and the strides we have made over the last number of years because of their input and actions and now, we want to share this valuable information with the Galway business community. As part of this, we are excited to hold our first event to give an insight on how other businesses can replicate the great work our Employee Resource Groups are doing, find out the steps they need to take to start their own employee led groups and hear first-hand from our incredible teams on how they are helping Liberty IT put our employees at the centre of everything we do and the amazing benefits that come from it.”

“We are encouraging representatives from all businesses and organisations to come along – we can’t wait to meet you and together, we can help make a difference in our businesses and the wider Galway community,” Darren added.
